Randolph native Nicolai "The Stoneman" Firtha will make his return to the boxing ring tonight against Robert Hawkins at the Mountaineer Casino in West Virginia in a matchup sponsored by boxing legend Roy Jones Jr.

The fight is the top undercard in the bout between Gilbert Venegas and Wilkens Santiago.

Firtha enters the match with a record of 20-10 and has won eight bouts by knockout. Hawkins enters with a 23-21 record with seven knockouts.

For Firtha, it will be his first boxing match since Feb. 18, 2012, when he lost to Johnathon Banks in Germany by unanimous decision that had the NABF heavyweight title on the line.

During his hiatus, boxing icon Wladimir Klitschko hand selected Firtha to train with him in Russia in preparation for Klitschko's match against Manuel Carr last August.
