The Hiram Chamber Orchestra is seeking volunteer string players from the Hiram and surrounding communities for the 2010-2011 academic year. Membership is open to people ages 14 to adult who have string playing experience and play at an intermediate level and higher. The Orchestra performs a balance of musical styles that range from the eighteenth to twenty-first centuries.

The Orchestra's mission is to explore music for string orchestra, provide a musical outlet for local amateur musicians, and present quality concerts to the public. Rehearsals take place on Mondays, from 7:00-8:30 in Frohring Recital Hall on the Hiram College campus.

Those interested in membership should contact Tim Staron, Hiram College Department of Music, at 330.569.5294, or through e-mail at MillerLL@hiram.edu, StaronTJ@hiram.edu or RNTKENT@aol.com
