If you have trouble completing your Census form or need a form, you can stop at the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County in Kent for assistance from March 19 to April 19.

A Census representative will be at the MHRB on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during those dates to help residents complete their forms. No appointments are necessary, according to area Census officials.

The Board office at 155 East Main Street in Kent has been designated as a QAC or Questionnaire Assistance Center and as a Be Counted (BC) site by the United States Census. The MRHB office is accessible to persons with disabilities.

"Our office will be an area location where residents with questions or those who need certain types of assistance can come in and talk to a Census representative," said Amie Cajka, MHRB director of community relations. "The community will also be able to pick up forms here during the hours the office is open."

To pick up forms, community members are welcome Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The QAC representative will be available to assist those unable to read or understand the census form. For those with visual impairments, Language Assistance Guides will be available in large print and Braille. In addition to these options, Language Assistance Guides will be available in 59 languages.
