Ravenna High School Athletic Director (NonSupport)January 23, 2010
Here is a question that was posed via email to our AD in Ravenna and his response: Mr. AD, AD Response, (notice he can't spell): Sorry, Our Response also forwarded to the Superintendent: Mr. "AD" I have been told that Ravenna High School has a history of not supporting the youth of Ravenna when it comes to using facilities for sports. I refused to believe this due to the fact that our youth will eventually play high school ball. Your recent response has proved me wrong. I understand that the High School can not possibly accommodate every request. However, I don't understand why you choose to close the school to ALL youth programs. The tax payers of Ravenna deserve better than this. Every other school in Ravenna operates on a first come first serve basis. So what makes the high school different? As the AD, it is your job to ensure that our high school sports program is thriving. This is not possible unless YOU are taking interest in our youth programs. I find it odd that we as Ravenna taxpayers must take our children to Akron, Garrettsville, and Kent to use their facilities. This is complete garbage. I have nothing else to say other than I will forward this to the Superintendent as well as the Record Courier. Comments
