The UPS Store offers helpful hints for
picture-perfect packing and flawless shipping

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH November 9, 2009 " The UPS Store, located at 1220 Bucholzer Blvd Suite B in Cuyahoga Falls, will host its grand opening celebration on November 27th, 2009, just in time for the holidays. Among the activities planned for the day are Cleveland Cavalier's ticket giveaways and free Krispy Kreme coffee and donuts. The UPS Store owner Jeromy Clark, looks forward to opening his doors to serve the Cuyahoga Falls and Tallmadge communities.

While many think it would be challenging to open a new business with the holidays right around the corner, the timing couldn't be better for The UPS Store. "Our services meet the needs of holiday shippers," said Clark. "Let us professionally pack and ship gifts and goodies for you. When the gift you selected with love and we packed with care is opened, the thoughtfulness will shine through."

The UPS Store prides itself on having specially trained and certified packing experts. They can pack anything, from fragile glassware to larger items like motorcycles and armoires, ensuring that customers' holiday packages arrive intact.

In addition to full-service packing and domestic and international shipping, The UPS Store offers digital printing; online printing; black-and-white and color copies; document finishing (binding, laminating, etc.); notary; printing services (business cards, letterhead, rubber stamps, etc.); custom crating and freight shipping for large items (grandfather clocks, motorcycles, etc.); mailbox and postal services; office and packaging supplies; and more.

According to Clark, "We are in the business of saving people time, and with shipping prices direct from UPS, we can save them money as well. At The UPS Store, we're committed to providing convenient business solutions with personalized customer service."

Clark offers the following hints to guide gift-givers through a stress-free holiday shipping season:

Beat the Holiday Rush. For the best value, ship as early as possible. Shop while the shelves are still stocked, and ship while the options are many and the lines are few. Hint: Mondays are the busiest shipping days.
Spend wisely. Evaluate factors such as cost, convenience and service before deciding where and how you will ship your packages. It doesn't matter if you've saved a dollar to ship your gift if it doesn't arrive in one piece.
Pack like a Pro. For dyed-in-the-wool DIYers, The UPS Store has all the proper packaging materials for your convenience. Packing hints: Use a new shipping box. Protect gifts by wrapping items separately, using adequate packaging materials, such as foam packaging peanuts and bubble cushioning (at least two inches of cushioning on all sides of each item). Remove batteries from toys and electronics to prevent suspicious noises and leaking or worn-out batteries. Also, be sure to use packaging tape (duct tape and masking tape are no-nos). Better yet
Leave it to the experts. Don't spend time packing gifts. Drop them off at The UPS Store to be handled by trained and certified packing professionals who back their services with the Pack & Ship Promise.
Track packages. Choose a shipping option like UPS, which provides a package-tracking number. Tracking affords peace-of-mind that your package has reached its destination.

Clark also suggests, "If you're traveling for the holidays, ship your luggage at The UPS Store. Not only can shipping luggage potentially save you money, but it can also lessen the hassle of dealing with luggage at the airport."

For added convenience, The UPS Store is offering extended holiday hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am-9pm and Saturday 9am-6pm.
