It wasn't an insult. It is a fact that your grammer stinks and my suggestion is that you go back to school and set an example of what education could do for you. Obviously, your teachers failed in your case.

Saluting school excellence in Ravenna

Record-Courier staff writer
The Ravenna Board of Education received a visit from a distinguished guest at its Monday meeting.
To honor the district for its "excellent" rating on the state report card this year, State Board of Education vice president Ann Womer Benjamin presented a large banner noting the distinction.
"I can't tell you how personally proud I am to bring this to Ravenna," the former state representative said. "(The distinction) was certainly a great effort by everyone."
The 2008-09 school year was the first time the district received the "Excellent" rating. It was able to attain the rating despite reaching only 18 out of 30 indicators by making massive strides with its Adequate Yearly Progress and Value-Added measurements " new criteria in the state grading system.
"I am greatly appreciative of all the work everyone in our district put into getting that distinction. This was not an individual effort, but an overall effort by our staff," said board president Mike Tontimonia.
Superintendent Tim Calfee said the large banner will remain in the high school's library.
The RHS is ranked #575, such a proud moment to give praise to the ones that are teaching the future workforce, lets give them a round of cheers. Stop with the political correctness and get back to teaching.

Hey, where is Kent? Were they counted in this? If so, I'm scared to see where they may have ranked.
Here we have a serious issue that warrants a good discussion and we get people that just can't contribute something constructive toward the issue. They can only attack you personally. Doesn't say too much for that individual.
Grr..
Seriously Thin minded, oops I mean Thinblueline, if you don't have anything pertaining to the subject at hand, you should just not say anything. And if jmdpma's grammar and/or spelling, is bothering you so much might I suggest you go to another site that is more comparable to your desire of "good grammar". Or better yet, do something about it and become an educator. Maybe you can help out with these low scores. Of course you cannot belittle the person that you would be teaching, that would have to be considered. All this shows me is that you are arrogant and think you are so much better than those that don't carry themselves as you do. News flash, because you can write and spell doesn't make you better. Sadly you probably don't believe that.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and because you don't like the way they write, doesn't make them stupid nor ignorant. However, those that point out others faults could be considered as ignorant.

Just one more thing thinblueline If we continue to look the other way and deny what goes on in Ravenna High School how many more kids do you think will die from drug overdose or become addicts? this is a known fact by the kids that go to school there talk to some of them. So do you have any suggestions on how to solve these problems? probably not, but I am sure you will insult me again since I did not space a few of my words on the post below. What I am saying is the teachers that are not performing get rid of them it hurts not only the students but the teachers who are working there buts off and doing a good job. when you have teachers not teaching and others looking the other way, ignoring the bad behavior by some students it huts the kids that are trying in school and go to school to learn not be popular! So Grow up and come up with some ideas, some suggestions not just insults!

This is what I really love about living out here no one is willing to discuss anything just throw insults!Maybe I don't have the best grammar in the world, and yes I did not bother to use proper puncuation this is a forum to bring up issuesnot English class! I was trying to start a discussion about the problems in Ravenna High School so they could possibly be solved rather than have some of our so called educators turn the other way. Maybe you are one of those teachers that I hear about that turn the other way and tell kids not to let you hear about there drug deals in school instead of sending them to the principal. Or maybe you are one of the teachers that has high school kids sitting watching videos all day long instead of teaching!

jmdpma,
Maybe you should enroll with her! Take an English course or two. I never saw so many sentences run together, improper use of "there" or "their" and overall poor use of the English language.

This does not suprise me that Ravenna Ranks so low at #575 there teachers don't teach there is a drug problem in there high school I suppose my daughter begging to go to Crestwood would be a better choice if I can get her in open enrollment the Good kids hate the high school in Ravenna because they are surrounded by drug users pills especially the teachers are too liberal and the students are not taught my daughter complains all of the time that her math teacher does nothing to actually teach them anything Ravenna High school is like a Romper Room and something needs to be done about it even getting a New principal has not solved any of the problems with the kids there, the drug problem, and lazy teachers who find it easier to have the kids watch movies and play on the computer instead of actually teaching them something
