Trick or Treat for communities in Portage County will take place this year on the following dates and times.
Aurora: 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31
Atwater: 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25
Brady Lake: 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. There will be a party afterward at the baseball field and Haunted Hall from 7 to 10 p.m., presented by students at Kent State University at the town hall.
Brimfield: 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25
Charlestown: 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25. Boo! at the Park at the township park on Rock Spring Road will follow.
Deerfield: 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31
Edinburg: Trunk or Treat at the township park on Rock Spring Road will replace Trick or Treat this year.
The event will include a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest and prize for the best decorated vehicle as well as a hay ride and refreshments.
Franklin: 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31
Freedom: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31
Garrettsville: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31
Hiram Twp. and Village: 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 A party at the fire department will follow. The event will feature cider, popcorn and candy free.
Kent: 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31
Mantua Twp. and Village: 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 for both the township and the village.
Nelson: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31
Paris: 3 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 1. The Paris Township Fire Department also will be hosting its annual Halloween party for the community at 5:30 p.m. at the fire station.
Palmyra: 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 31
Randolph: 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25, with activities to follow at the fire department.
Ravenna: 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31
Ravenna Twp.: 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31
Rootstown: 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31
Shalersville: 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31
Streetsboro: 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31
Suffield: 2 to 4 Oct. 25
Windham Twp. and Village: 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26
