This is America and our commitment to religious freedom must be unwavering. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country and will not be treated differently is guaranteed by our First Amendment rights. It's essential to who we are. I understand the emotions that this issue brings with 9/11, but I believe that our Muslim brothers and sisters have the same rights to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. I support freedom of religion. We must not hate Muslims and American Muslims. Let us not forget that American Muslims also were killed on 9/11. Let us not forget this is what the Taliban and terrorists wanted -- Americans fighting with each other. America is a country of many faiths. Who and what is next?
