A Kohl’s store will open Sept. 29 at The Cascades of Brimfield shopping center on Tallmadge Road and is expected to add 130 new jobs.
The 64,000-square-foot store will join Super Walmart, Lowe’s, Dollar Tree, Gamestop, Verizon and AT&T, as well as dining estabishments like La Terrazza, Applebee’s and Beef O’Brady’s.
“The new Kohl’s at The Cascades of Brimfield means more money in Portage County will stay in Portage County,” said Dick Messner, Brimfield zoning inspector and economic developent director.
“Also, the township’s cost of delivery of services to Kohl’s will be relatively low, and both Brimfield Township and Tallmadge will benefit from increased tax revenues,” he said. “Any time you can save money on services and increase your revenues, that’s something everyone can be happy about.”
