The Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education has named Shawn Brown as its associate director, the council announced Wednesday.
Brown, a South Euclid resident, previously was the director of college relations at Hiram College in Hiram, specializing in marketing, public relations and communications. As associate director of NOCHE, Brown will oversee the operation of programs and committees, development, communications and implementation of NOCHE's Talent Dividend.
Brown had various jobs during his 10-year employment at Hiram College, including as a recruiter and admissions counselor for the Weekend College. A Hiram College graduate, he holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a masters degree in computer systems management from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.
NOCHE's mission is to mobilize the region's higher education and business communities for collective action that advances regional economic development.
