The Rootstown Co-Op Preschool will hold registration for 2010-11 from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Community Bible Church, 3671 Tallmadge Road, Rootstown.
A $40 non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration.
A Monday-Wednesday-Friday prekindergarten class will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for children who are 4 or 5 years old.
Children bring a lunch from home. Students will be taught to write and recognize upper and lower case letters, phonics, numbers, handwriting, sequencing, patterning and other concepts to prepare them for kindergarten.
Computer time is also available daily.
A Tuesday-Thursday class will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon for children 3 and 4 years old.
Children will begin learning their letters, phonics, numbers, counting, colors, shapes and more.
Children must be potty trained to attend.
Both the teacher, Heather Mix, and teaching assistant, Cathy Rothermel, have degrees in education, along with training in child abuse, communicable disease, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
