Susan Stalter, an eighth-grade student at St. Joseph School in Randolph, was recently awarded the Archbishop Hoban High School Placement Test Scholarship. With her are her parents, Joan and Steve Stalter of Randolph. The scholarship is for incoming freshman students who score in the top 20 percent on the placement test. Susan recently placed first overall at the district level at the Power of the Pen competition. She is an altar server at St. Joseph Parish and active in the chess club at St. Joseph School. Susan loves to write and reads all kinds of books, especially The Horatio Hornblower series. She enjoys listening to Beatles music and playing with her two cats, Phantom and Menace. She would someday like to be an author. Comments
