After the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Joseph Parish in Mantua, Bishop Murry, Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, was invited to see how his letter to parents had been enlarged and placed at the entrance of the school.

Two eighth-grade students, Ryan Bernhard and Jordan Pastor, along with their teacher, Cheryl Turner, pointed out that this is the first registration invitation people see when they enter St. Joseph School.

In the letter, Bishop Murry said that "Catholic schools provide young people with sound Church teaching through a broad-based curriculum, where faith and culture are intertwined in all areas of a school's life." The bishop's letter says in words what a student will experience in the welcoming atmosphere throughout the school.

For details about the school, those interested should visit the Web site at www.stjosephmantua.com or call the school office at 330-274-2268. The school is located at 11045 St. Joseph Blvd. in Mantua and is now accepting new registrations for students in grades kindergarten through eighth.

Parents and guardians may attend any one of the information sessions about the school's kindergarten program on Tuesday at either 9:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. at the school. Potential kindergarten students may attend with a parent at that time. Shadowing in grades one through seven and/or tours of the school are available by calling the school office.
