The Friends of Reed Memorial Library's Spring Book and Art Sale will take place in the library, 167 E. Main St., Ravenna, on March 18, 19, 20 and 21.
A preview sale will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. March 18. It is open to members of Friends or those interested in joining the Friends group that night.
Everyone may attend the rest of the sale, to be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 19 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 20, and 1 to 4 p.m. March 21.
Books are $1 for hardbacks and 50 cents each for paperbacks. Other items in the sale will be priced as marked.
There are lots of children's materials, audio-visual items, jigsaw puzzles, toys, games, etc.
The book sale will take place on the lower level of the library in all the meeting rooms and the hallway.
The art sale will be held in the vicinity of the library's circulation desk.
All items will be priced as marked.
This sale will feature original artwork by members of Ravenna's Woolf family and Waterloo High School students, the proceeds of which will go to the Ruth E. Woolf Fund for Educational Materials to support library collection development. She died in July 2009. It was her wish that the library have more funds for educational materials. She was a member of the Friends of Reed Memorial Library, helped with book sales and was dedicated to education.
