cille M. Lu (Mancz) Schubert, 53, of New Albany, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 7, 2010 after a brave battle with cancer. Lu was born June 26, 1956 in Akron, and was raised and attended Waterloo High School in Atwater. She received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State University, where she met and later married Bill Schubert. Lu was most recently a senior project architect and senior associate for Karlsberger Companies. She was a member of American Institute of Architects, New Albany Architectural Review Board, and NCARB. Lu was above all, a mother and a wife. She was very active with her sons sports and schooling. Lu was a co-founder of the New Albany Lacrosse Association, always enjoyed chaperoning activities and was the senior football mom. She was always encouraging and taught her sons to have a good work ethic. Preceded in death by her infant son, Peter, father, Carl Mancz, and infant brother. Lu will be missed by her husband of 28 years, Bill; sons, Andy and Mark; mother, Margaret (Bob) Pugh; sisters, Elizabeth Mancz, Mary Kay (Scott) Dotterer, and Marcia (Paul) Skidmore; nieces and nephews, Carmen, Maddie, Joey, Katy, Tony, David, Bobby, Emily, Carly, Ricky, and Samantha; sister-in-law, Linda (Bob) Lelito, and brother-in- law, Rick (Traci) Schubert. Lu will be missed for her outgoing demeanor and infectious laugh. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin- Granville Rd., New Albany, Fr. Jerome P. Rodenfels, Celebrant. Family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 Johnstown Rd., Columbus. Burial at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery.
