Has anyone ever heard the saying, "Prevention is the best medicine" or "Why shut the barn door after the horse escapes?" There is an accident, whether intentional or not, waiting to happen at Reed Memorial Library in Ravenna and no one seems to care. When the building was enlarged, Walnut Street was diverted from its original approach to Main Street. Without even a sign or guard preventing it, someone could -- intentionally or not -- drive right through the large and beautiful windows facing Walnut Street. This might never happen, but it could. Please, library officials, put a guard between the window and Walnut Street. I'm so thankful it has not happened and, again, it may never happen, but why chance to luck? Remember, prevention is always the best medicine. James Deiwert Ravenna Comments
