Church holds first kids' art show

The First Christian Church of Kent recently presented its first Children's Art Show. The event was a fund-raiser for the church's growing children's program. Created by the church children ages 2 to 12, each piece of art was individually raffled. Showing off their at are Nate Lennox, 6, and Taylor Dunlap, 5. The funds raised exceeded the $500 goal. The money raised will be used to support the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School programs. More than 100 people attended and enjoyed the Art Show and refreshments. The church invites families with children to visit on a Sunday morning for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. or for church at 10:45 a.m. There are classes for all ages. Jodi Stillisano is the Christian education director at the church.
