Gunpoint holdup probed in Kent

Kent police are investigating another possible robbery that occurred Friday evening on Mulberry Court in the Holly Park apartment complex off East Main Street. 

Kent police Lt. Jayme Cole said a 22-year-old male reported being held up at gunpoint. The suspect allegedly showed a handgun and made off with some of the victim’s property.

Cole would not say what was taken from the victim and had no other information, saying only that the incident is under investigation by Kent police detectives. 

“The circumstances of this robbery do not indicate any kind of link with other reported robberies” over this past weekend, he said. 

The suspect was described as a black male, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. 

Friday’s incident brings to five the number of reported victims of robberies in the city and on the Kent State University campus over the weekend. 

Shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday morning, two KSU students reported being held at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Silver Oaks apartment complex off Loop Road and robbed by three suspects driving a gray, four-door Ford Contour. 

Just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning, two more KSU students were robbed, this time on campus by four suspects in the area of the Art Building. 

KSU police have arrested three KSU students and one juvenile, who is not a student, in connection with that incident.

Real productive discourse! You guys are a bunch of idiots. No wonder we have this violent crime problem with hate mongers like you out there. This really helps the student who was the victim. Lets focus on what matters.

I got one for all of you.
What's Your Problem is a white guy.and Where's The Beef is a byracial guy.
They live together and have adopted kids.

Would that make them gay, byracial & white guys adopting,black and white kids?

I think I have confused myself.

Iam a 61 year old white guy.
I have a black step daughter.
Iam not a bleeding heart.
Iam just a real guy,paying bills and trying to show my black and white kids how to get along in this world.

Alot of young people.white,black, purple or green,need some direction in their lives.

If we all don't start to talk and help each other.
We all are in deep deep s--t!

My point exactly. Well put.

And I have spent plenty of time on the east side of Cleveland and experienced far less crime than when I lived in a pristine white lake community between Kent and Ravenna.

maybe onesmallvoice ought to go take a walk on the east side of Cleveland after dark with her purse on her arm. Hell, she wouldn't even need a purse, the animals will kill you for your shoes. Hey honey, burp, will you grab me another beer, is my sheet back from the dry cleaner and did you feed them damn "coon" hounds they sure are making alot of noise. Wait I'll grab my gun, something has them barking, yep them damn coons are trying to steal my 4x4, it's okay they don't know how to drive a stick plus if they drive through their neighborhood with that rebel flag in the back window one of the other animals will kill 'em anyhow. I will never apologize for being a straight, working white guy who provides for his family through hard work. If that makes me a redneck, I accept it with pride.

I will admit to being white.
I will even apologize for my great great great grand father treating blacks very badly.

I have done nothing wrong to blacks or whites.

How can we all help each other get through this without more hold ups and killing?
