By Dave O’Brien Record-Courier staff writer In a recent sweep of the village, Windham police arrested nine alleged drug offenders — eight adults and one juvenile — on a total of 21 felony and eight misdemeanor charges. Windham Police Chief Edward Perdian said officers of the Windham Police Department served nine warrants for drug trafficking and complicity charges starting Wednesday afternoon. All were arraigned in Portage County Municipal Court in Ravenna following their arrests. Those arrested, their charges and bonds set at arraignment were: • Anthony R. Fincham, 24, of Leavittsburg. Three counts of trafficking in drugs, all fourth-degree felonies, and one count of possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. Ten percent of $55,000 bond. • Shannon R. O’Neal, 47, of 9544-A Green Meadow Road. Two counts of complicity to trafficking in drugs and one count of trafficking in drugs, all fourth-degree felonies, and two counts of child endangerment, both misdemeanors. Bond unknown. • Sheaha J. Hardesty, 27, of 9544-A Green Meadow Road. Two counts of trafficking in drugs, both fourth-degree felonies, and four counts of child endangerment, all misdemeanors. Ten percent of $35,000. • Bradley T. Durst, 18, of 9854-B Community Road. Two counts of trafficking in drugs, one fourth-degree felony and one fifth-degree felony, and one count of complicity to trafficking, a fourth-degree felony. Ten percent of $55,000. • Scott J. Campbell, 19, of 9028-F Maple Grove Road. Three counts of trafficking, all fourth-degree felonies. Ten percent of $55,000. • Amanda V. Goodwin, 21, of 9627-E Community Road. One count of complicity to trafficking, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of permitting drug abuse, a misdemeanor. $35,000 personal recognizance. • Stanley J. Zdanczewski Jr., 32, of 9627-D Community Road. One count of trafficking, a fourth-degree felony. Ten percent of $25,000. • Michelle M. Goodwin, 23, of 9854-E Community Road. One count of permitting drug abuse, a misdemeanor. Personal recognizance. • A male juvenile, name and address not provided because of his age. Four counts of trafficking, one fourth-degree and three fifth-degree felonies. Among the drugs bought, sold and seized during the investigation were marijuana, crack cocaine and prescription medication, according to Windham police. The arrests, which Perdian said took place without incident, were the result of a lengthy investigation by Windham police and consultation with the Portage County Prosecutor’s Office.

I didn't say the WPD was dumb, I said the people commenting on here without the facts are dumb. First of all, hasn't anyone done anything stupid in their lives, whether they got caught or not? Think about it, I'm sure everyone has. Whether you were driving a little to fast, out doing whatever with the wrong people, or something just plain dumb as a kid? I think we have all been there and if you haven't, then you are a Saint and congratulations. I get upset when our local businesses are attacked for no reason, we are suppose to be a community that supports each other. The local eatery everyone is speaking of, has good food and for the most part good service, cut them some slack. I frequent the place and know for a fact some customers are just petty. I've been in there when one lady complained because her bagel wasn't dark enough and instead of letting the nice waitress take it back and have it toasted darker, she threw an idiotic fit and said she would never come back. Two days later there she was, back to complain some more. How much do these owners have to withstand? And what people do on their own time is none of the employer's business, so why in God's name would they fire the employee? Especially since the case hasn't even been heard yet in the courts. If everyone was fired for getting arrested or involved in a court matter, we would have an unemployment rate through the roof, think its bad now! I just don't understand people's logic or reasoning, maybe someone can shed some light on it? And those who quote "God Bless", do you even know what that means? Apparently not, my God is a loving, forgiving God, who has forgiven these mistakes already. God would be appauled to know that you are signing his name to your ridiculous accusations and not forgiving these children for their sins. Go to church and learn more about his ways before you use his name in vein! Idiots.

Oh and yes everyone that was charged was either dealing or allowing it to happen. And Windham Police are not dumb....they are very good at what they do....the drug offenders are the dumb ones...first off for dealing and second off for getting caught. If they are innocent the courts will find that out.

Well maybe babyjay better do a little more research on the court systems and how they work. None of the cases are dropped, they have been dismissed for further review just like any other charge, unitl they go to trial. Charges never get dropped or dismissed at prelims. The Windham Police would not have been able to charge any one of the drug offenders if they didn't have a case (proof, drug buys, etc). Also the Prosecutor would have never allowed charges if the cases were not good enough. The bottom line here is they were caught dealing and now they have to pay the price. You pay to play! For some I am sure that price will be high. I for one, am ready for the next round to get busted...hope it's not too much longer.
Again GREAT JOB Windham Police!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

I'm glad you people are so smart, (definitely living up to the name Windumb). I love how you people get on here and apparently know everything about the case and drug bust. Are you all working on ruining peopl's lives without the facts. Is it possible some of these kids were in the wrong place at the wrong time or got caught up with the wrong people? This couldn't happen? Stupid, ignorance is all I have to say and if you don't know anything about the case or anything about the people involved, you should keep your mouth's shut. If not now but possibly in the near future will you know where your kids are and what they are doing 24/7, because if not, you shouldn't judge anyone. There are 10 churches in Windham, I think you people should attend one and ask God for forgiveness. ALL THE CASES, were dismissed!! And the person who said guilty or not guilty, it doesn't really matter, is an idiot. It does matter. There are proper ways of taking down drug dealers, and this was not proper because these kids weren't dealing, at least the ones I've heard about. I'll conclude by saying, anyone who doesn't know the FACTS, should not make matters worse by spreading false rumors. It just makes you look, Win-dumb. This town is better then that, but you people are making us all look bad.

Well steelersrule13 I guess you are Tom Cruise because my son was not part of it. His best friend was in the bust. And the lesson that should be learned here is that the WPD should stop picking on certain individual's.
You should stop trying to accuse individual's that was NOT involved in the bust! If that is what you want to call it!
Are you such a perfect parent that your children don't ever get into trouble or hang with the wrong people. I don't think so because NOBODY is perfect!!!! Including YOU!

Well if babyjay isn't one of the family members of some of them then I am Tom Cruise.
Whatever though, who really even cares... guilty? not guilty? Either way you wouldn't be in the mess if you would have higher standards, more respect for yourselves and watch who you are hanging with.
Maybe that's the lesson to be learned here. I hope they all have learned something from it all.
Oh well....God Bless everyone & have a great Thanksgiving.

This is to all the people that think Windham Police done such a great job busting the drug dealers-well hate to burst your bubbles-they screwed up again because the courts dropped all 21 felony charges and everyone got their cases dismissed, including the person under 18. They should shut down the WPD and let the Sheriff's office take over the town. They would probably do a better job! LOL
And people should not fire their son or daughter because of an arrest. EVERYONE IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!!!!!! Read the U.S Constitution's.
To those people that talk about how parents raise their children-well all of them need to clean out their closets because I know they are not PERFECT parents. And I do believe that one of those people bit**ing is one of the worker's at Circle. The day after the drug raid I was in there that morning and this lady working behind the counter (employee at Dollar Store too) was down grading all these suspects and their families.
NO matter if they try and get all the drugs off the street in Windham more drugs will come into the city. Nothing will ever make this town any better. You have corrupt police and emt's that don't give a sh*t about their patients.
