A Ravenna man is facing four charges in two cities after he was involved in a pair of incidents Saturday and early Sunday.

Mohammad Omar, 30, of 874 W. Main St., is accused of impersonating a police officer in Kent, and just hours later carrying a firearm into an Akron nightclub.

Lt. Ray Stein of the Kent Police Department said officers were notified shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday of a disturbance on Franklin Avenue near the Kent Recreation Center.

When an officer arrived, he found an “altercation” between two motorists — one of whom was Omar.

“Through the officer’s investigation, he learned the suspect may have been trying to pass himself off as a police officer,” Stein said. “There was something said about him being a police officer. When the police showed up it was discovered he was not — our officers found out otherwise.”

In that incident, Omar was charged with impersonating a peace officer and reckless operation of a motor vehicle, both fourth-degree misdemeanors.

Omar was not arrested, but was issued a summons to appear in Portage County Municipal Court in Kent.

Four hours later Omar was arrested at the Lux Nightclub & Ultra Lounge in Akron and charged with possession of firearms where liquor is sold, a fifth-degree felony, and carrying a weapon while intoxicated, a first-degree misdemeanor.

According to Summit County Court records, Omar was released from jail on a signature bond.

Omar was scheduled to be arraigned today in Kent Municipal Court at 8:15 a.m. stemming from the incident in Kent.

He is also scheduled for a status hearing on the other charges on July 15 at Akron Municipal Court.

	Better yet I saw the bragging that he is driving her car to work and she has the Hummer. Go have a GPS put in it, not very much, lie 20 bucks a month and you'll have all the answers you need. You can just go on the computer and see where the vehicle is at all times. This is good for teenagers but I guess roving significant others as well. I always say when it get's to that point where your having to go to that extreme your intution is already telling you the answers your seeking!

	OK, so I just read through all these posts and was shaking my head in disbelief. The comment that really got me was from the young lady who appears to be very articulate and a working mom, trying to raise a child. Why does she say "lollipop: I am a full time working mother who cant babysit moe, an wonder if anyone knows moe and is with him "should know" hes with me and we have a newborn baby, and there a whore if they know that." Why is it always the other persons fault, not the person who is supposed to be in the committed relationship. If the "other" girl is a whore than what does that make the father of her child? Or is it just whomever he is with, but not him? I don't know these people, they are a generation behind me but to be airing their personal and dirty laundry is insane. I can't believe she even posed the question in her last post about another girl followed by question marks. She is saying one thing but wanting someone to give up the info. Strange, really strange!

	Sounds like GETMOE in a "heap big trouble"....lol Getmoe...now not only are you in trouble with the police...your girl wants to know who the OTHER girls are. WOW... Remember, MOE....slander and libel laws only apply if the talk or writing is NOT true AND if it does damage to your reputation. You have taken care of your own reputation...not to mention your STREET CRED. Leave the law to folks who do the job...not to those who "wanna be"... BTW...The girl in the Hummer was NOT the mother of his baby...unless she is recently pregant...LOL.

	to Kent Mom: no I am not the young lady who was in the passenger seat of the hummer, but I would love to know who was!! As far as I am concerned he was on his way home from work alone??? to lollipop: I am a full time working mother who cant babysit moe, an wonder if anyone knows moe and is with him "should know" hes with me and we have a newborn baby, and there a whore if they know that. Like I said before I hold no evidence so how can I blame him for things I cant prove? Therefore I have no reason to think he's cheating until someone can prove it an obviously no one has informed me hes been with other girl's until I read it on a newspaper post, if I find its true than thats when I will take action..until than I cant comment.
