Frank and Anna Mae Shimmel of Streetsboro recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with an evening Mass at St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro.

Frank Shimmel and Anna Mae Renosky were married June 14, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church in Sagamore, Pa. They have three children: Mike (and Sheryl) Shimmel and Dave (and Terri) Shimmel, both of Streetsboro, and Ann Marie Shimmel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

They have seven grandchildren: Mike Jr., Matthew, Brandon, Tyler, Noah, Nathan and Natalie Shimmel of Streetsboro.

Mr. Shimmel is retired from General Motors. The couple are members of St. Joan of Arc Church.

A party in their honor also was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall with music provided by Dr. Dave.

In attendance were family members from Ohio and Pennsylvania, including their maid of honor, Marjorie O'Keefe of Pittsburgh, Pa., and their flower girl, Patricia Edwards of Smicksburg, Pa.
