Ravenna class of 1941 gathers for reunionAugust 26, 2008
Lisa Scalfaro/Record-Courier The Ravenna High School class of 1941 gathered recently at the Ravenna Elks Club for their 67-year reunion. There were 22 people in attendance including classmates, seated from left, Tillie (Sandy) DiMauro, Justine (Marozzi) Trivelli, Letty (Sferra) Sicuro, Betty (Blank) Capriola, Ethel (Day) Weber, Ruth (West) Sivon and Susanne (Worden) Frank, and standing, Bernard Taylor, Joe Polichena, Wayne Porter, Ruth (Cox) Angotti, Betty Hentz, Shirley (Hart) Taylor, John Gembar and Burt Frank. The event was organized by Shirley Taylor of Ravenna and Eleanor (Davis) Fosnight, who was unable to attend. Lunch was catered by Guido's. Correspondence from classmates who were not able to attend was read by Taylor. Those attending observed a moment of silence in memory of deceased classmates. Out-of-town attendees included Wayne and Peggy Porter of Hampton, Va., and Ruth (West) Sivon of St. Louis, Mo. The group plans to meet again next year. Comments
